This application was reported to be working under wine at some point in
the past (don't know if it still works):
http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=2422

Wine version > 20050625 don't use the config file anymore, so that
anything you put in the config file is not taken into account. Please
use winecfg to configure Wine.

Regards.

Re: running TextAloudMP3

Pawel K
Thanx Jonathan, that's right my config file isn't used
anymore.
I've tried to use wincfg but it generated following
questrions:

I decided to mount my Windows 2000 (ntfs) partition
under linux (/mnt/w2k) and tried to launch TextAloud
directry from that partition:

1) how to configure wine to use /mnt/w2k as a windows
partition using winecfg. Having config file I would do
that like:
[Drive C]
"Path" = "/mnt/w2k"
"Type" = "hd"
"Label" = "w2k"
"Filesystem" = "ntfs"

I've added the following link to ~/.wine/dosdevices
file:
c: -> /mnt/w2k
and wincfg can see it, but how to make it Windows main
directory.

2) how to tell wine which specific dlls to use
(lame_end.dll in my situation)

thx

It should work as is I think.

lame_end.dll is not a system dll so no dll override is needed here. If
your program has trouble finding this dll, try to put it in the
applicaton's directory and/or try to do regsvr32 lame_end.dll.

If you want to make dllOverrides you can use winecfg to make application
or general dllOverrides.

Hope it helps.

Re: Re: running TextAloudMP3

Pawel K
I'm using TextAloud version 1.459. Wine application
database "says" that it should work with version
1.408. Does anyone have this version TxAl1408.exe to
send it to me. NextUp doesn't have exactly that
version any more. My license key 1.459 will work with
that version. I want to find out where is the problem.

Thank You
